Tilera Challenge X86 Chip with 100 processor cores

Development company launched a processor chip Tilera TILE-GX series which claimed 10 times better for computing the efficiency of the next generation chip from Intel, Westmare.

Tilera artificial processor is processed with 40-nanometer TSMC is able to operate until 1:50 GHz with power consumption levels of between 10 to 55 watts, including low-to-chip class.

“TILE-GX processor line is available with Tilera artificial cores 16, 36, 64 and 100. This product uses remote-scale architecture is unique, with capabilities beyond the traditional microprocessor core,” explained spokesman Bob Doud Tilera to TG Daily, the Legal quoted Monday (26/10/2009).

“Tilera chip using two-dimensional iMesh interconnect which was to eliminate the need of on-chip and the system Dynamic Distributed Cache (DDC) which allows each core to the local cache coherent distributed throughout the chip,” he added.

Lenovo Sales Focus on Windows 7

Fourth largest computer manufacturer of the world, Lenovo hopes the new operating system besutan Microsoft, Windows 7. Lenovo hopes Windows 7 is embedded in the output products, both netbooks and notebooks, can increase sales.

“Windows 7 will have a big effect, and we’ve had a lot of preparation for it,” said Lenovo Chairman Liu Chuianzi as reported by Reuters on Monday (26/10/2009).

Apple Launches Multi-Touch Mouse
